Greenwood Village, Colorado, February 23, 2007. eTEK International announced today they have re-released their eTEK XPress accounting system, formerly sold as a standalone, single-user version of eTEK Accounting. eTEK XPress will now be sold exclusively as a hosted, full-feature, Web-based accounting system for any small-to-midsize (SMB) business organization. Designed for organizations that prefer a full-feature "service-based" accounting solution, eTEK XPress combines all software license costs, nation-wide tech support, and Internet application hosting fees into one low monthly payment.
Al Blair, the president of eTEK, commented, "Unlike traditional network-based software licenses purchased "up-front", with additional recurring support costs, eTEK XPress provides a significantly lower cost of entry with many additional benefits. Now that the Internet has become more reliable and secure, it makes good business sense for many organizations to switch to a service-based accounting & financial reporting system. The nasty little secret no one wants to talk about, is many organizations fail to properly backup their most important business data on a consistent basis. Among many other benefits, eTEK XPress offers our SMB customers a much more secure hardware infrastructure than most of them can afford to maintain for themselves. We will continue to sell and support traditional network-based versions of our software for the mid-range and larger scale enterprise customer, but we sense the SMB market is moving even faster now towards a more economical service-based software model."

Monthly fees for a base system start as low as $250/user. A base system consists of GAAP-compliant, multi-company/divisional, double-entry General Ledger, Budgeting, Financial Reporting, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable. Available add-on modules include: Job Costing (with Estimating & Equipment), 50-State Payroll, and Supply Chain Management programs such as Purchasing, Inventory Control and Order Entry.
