As explained by Donna Skeen, eTEK's Vice President of Customer Service, "Our new optional Work Flow module allows users to work with us during their training period to define the flow of steps they want their individual users to take in operating our software. We intend Work Flow to be an easy, but effective way to "marry" and integrate any organization's business processes, office policies, procedures and rules more closely with our software's wide range of capabilities and functions. Work Flow defines the path to be followed when using our main menu/drop-down dialog for selection of various modules, tabs and menu items. During training we assist users in building their own internal "custom road map", that when combined with use of our extensive on-line Help, allows them to become very productive in a relatively short period of time."

Al Blair, President of eTEK added, "As is true in any organization using sophisticated accounting software, users do different things at different times. For example, month-end closings may or may not result in a fiscal period being firmly updated (hard close), since we do not force that arbitrarily on anyone. In short, sometimes flexibility can be perceived as confusing, especially in the beginning, since there are typically so many options available depending on various internal policies and business rules. Work Flow reduces the options to the primary path our customers want their individual users to normally follow so management knows they are using our software in a manner consistent with organizational policies and procedures. We believe in the final analysis it is "how" software is used day-to-day, that gets the job done right. We are focused on that benefit with Work Flow."
