Greenwood Village, Colorado, May 19, 2004. eTEK International announced today that they have rejoined the Microsoft Certified Partner (MCP) program.
Al Blair, the president of eTEK commented, "We are pleased to have been asked by Microsoft to rejoin their Certified Partner program. After Microsoft's acquisition of major accounting software companies over the past several years, we chose in late 2002 not to renew our participation. Since then we have been pleased to learn that our systems compete very well in the small-to-mid-market space. Frankly, our earlier concerns about competing against "our partner" have proven to be largely unwarranted. While we compete directly with Microsoft's Great Plains and others, our commitment to delivering easy to use, top-quality, open source systems, remains very successful. This strategy combined with our vertical market expertise in project/job cost accounting, backed by superior customer support, continues to provide eTEK with strong competitive advantages, regardless of the relative size of our competitors. This past year we centralized all customer training, implementation and support services. In the United States, none of our customers are supported by 3rd-party organizations. They are all supported directly by eTEK. We have found that this approach insures the very highest level of customer support".
