By using our job cost module (you do not have to be in the construction industry to use this module) you can define "job costs" as the 4-level structure of "projects/jobs/phases/tasks" that will match the nature of your business. Our software then automatically tracks all revenues and expenses using YOUR "job costs" and then ties everything back into your own general ledger chart of accounts, which is also set up and defined with a Chart of Accounts (COA) that is appropriate for your type of business. Usually we can adopt the COA you are using now, if you desire.

 

How does this work? Here are several examples:

 

If you manage an association, a project could be a group of apartment buildings, jobs could be specific buildings, phases could be specific billable addresses such as Apartment 101, 102 "tasks" could be such items as normal monthly rent, special maintenance services, cleaning, etc. And, our on-line repetitive AR billing capabilities can be set up to automatically generate your monthly rental invoices on your billing calendar.
